Childcare

St Joseph’s provides childcare services in conjunction with KOOSA Kids before school, after school and during school holidays.  All KOOSA Kids clubs are fully registered with Ofsted.koosa

Breakfast club

KOOSA Kids breakfast club runs every school day from 8:00am to 8:45am and is based from the school hall. Children are able to choose from a range of quiet activities including Art Tables, Board Games, Construction Games and much more. A healthy and nutritious breakfast (optional) is provided each morning until 8.20am (fruit, toast, cereals, fruit drinks). At the end of the session, Infant children are signed over to the sibling club and Juniors make their own way to classrooms, ready for the start of the school day.

After School Club

KOOSA Kids after school club runs every school day from school finish until 6.00pm and is based from the school hall, with access to the school playground and outside areas.

KOOSA Kids after school clubs have a very relaxed feel and the staff fully appreciate that children may be tired at the end of a long school day and may simply just want to ‘chill out’ during their time in the club. Unlike the bustling holiday club programme, children are encouraged to choose the activities they wish to take part in and the emphasis is very much on supervised free play, giving children a chance to catch up with old friends or make new ones.

Children are able to choose from a host of activities including Jenga, Lego, Stickle Bricks, Art Tables, Role Play, Book Corners, Puzzles, Train Sets, DVD and PlayStation/Wii (selected times), Play Mats and a large selection of active games such as Football, Hockey, Rounder’s, Playground Games and much more.

A healthy and nutritious snack (fruit platter, toast, crumpet of pittas) is provided each afternoon.

Book for single or multiple sessions (Breakfast Clubs up to 1pm the working day before and After School Clubs up to 6pm the working day before) and if your requirements are fixed, we can offer a ‘permanent places agreement’ to guarantee sessions each half term.

Holiday Club

KOOSA Kids holiday club at St Joseph’s runs every school holiday for children aged 4 to 13 and is open to all children from the local area. The standard activity day runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm, with the option to book additional AM and/or PM extensions to cover a full day from 8.15am to 6.00pm.

Children are split into different age groups based on their school year group (Krazy K’s EYFS, Kool K’s year 1-3 and King K’s year 4-8) to ensure activities are delivered in an age appropriate way.

The focus for the holiday club is for the children to have as much FUN as possible. KOOSA Kids offer a mixture of active and non-active activities to suit both the sporty or more creative child. Each day, your child will take part in up to 9 structured activities, 4 each from the ‘Endeavour’ and ‘Discovery Zone’ and a Free Play session straight after lunch. Activities range from Go Karts, Golf, Football, Hockey and Relay Races in our ‘Endeavor Zone’, to Clay Moulding, Painting, Lego Building, Hama Beads and Drama and Science Sessions in our ‘Discovery Zone’.
